Fulton County School Board

When and Where: 6 p.m., Thursday, October 18, at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School, 8100 Roberts Drive, Sandy Springs.

Action:Board offered first reading of proposed 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school calendars and intention to eventually restore the school year to 180 days. Superintendent said the school is trying to coordinate Spring break with other school districts to be the second week after the first Sunday in April. Students will get Thanksgiving week off next year, and two week at Christmas. The district is seeking input from parents on the proposed calendar.
