Coaches and other DeKalb school employees are on the hook for $66,000 after an investigation at Martin Luther King Jr. High School.

Superintendent Steve Green ordered an audit that found the people had ordered supplies, such as uniforms, without school approval. Some of the initial $83,000 has already been paid down.

Now, Green’s office must approve all school spending and some employees have been disciplined.

Others involved are having to pay back the money by having it taken out of their paychecks.
