The existing toll lanes on I-85, stretching from Chamblee Tucker Road to Old Peachtree Road, have been in place since October 2011. Here is a review of how many motorists have used the lanes and how much the equipment for that project cost.

The original I-85 HOT lanes used an existing lane and did not involve any new road construction, keeping the project's initial costs down to a total of $23.5 million. The breakdown below includes the one-time costs of equipment, computer hardware, software and training. It does not include the installation and construction costs, nor the ongoing costs such as salaries.
