A reader has requested assistance with a crossing light.
“I would like your help in getting a street crossing light fixed. It is located at the intersection of East Rock Springs and Sussex Road in Morningside. At this intersection there is a public park, a church and an elementary school. This area is heavily traveled when school is in session. The crossing light triggers flashing lights on the park side, but the button on the church side does not trigger the crossing lights,” wrote Gigi Schwartz.
We sent the issue to the city and will keep you updated.

Catherine Chase hopes something can be done about an open grate.
“This is located at Angier Avenue and Parkway Drive near the new Empire development in the Old Fourth Ward. It has sunken much more since this was taken,” Chase said.
In the interim, Chase updated us and said the issue was still unresolved, but now there’s a piece of metal near the grate that has been there for weeks.
We sent the issue to the city and will let you know when the issue is finally resolved.
