The town of Tyrone must update its comprehensive plan in 2022 and is recruiting volunteers to serve on a steering committee to guide that process. Applications will be accepted through Nov. 24 for the committee, which will consist of 10-12 members from all sectors. Residents with experience in municipal government, planning and development would be “particularly useful.”
The committee will meet at least three times over the next 8-10 months at times established by the members. Public input regarding the plan will also be sought at events that steering committee members are expected to attend.
Tyrone’s comprehensive plan is designed to prepare for the next 20 years of “significant population and employment growth … [that] presents both challenges and opportunities for all aspects of the community.”
