Samantha Gentry of Palmetto was one of more than 800 candidates for graduation featured during a vitual recognition featured by West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) online Thursday, December 18.

Kristian Hernandez from Fayetteville and Douglas Jack Youngblood from Conyers were among the 1,382 graduates are from 42 countries, 36 states and the District of Columbia, and more than 150 Nebraska communities who graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Dec. 19.

Donna Shope of Winder graduated from Eastern New Mexico University on Dec. 12.

Nila Smith, a 15-year-old entrepreneur, creative, and sophomore at South Cobb High School, was awarded Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
