• Roswell Methodist Church occupied the building for most of the time from 1859 until 1920.
  • During that period, however, Union troops took over the church during the Civil War.
  • The building was the site of a cotton seed warehouse and a car dealership before it was purchased by the Masons in 1952.
  • Its stucco exterior was added about 1973.
  • The land was donated to the church by a member of the founding family of Roswell.
