Rachel Dolezal first made headlines in June 2015 when the former NAACP leader was outed by her parents as a Caucasian American, not the Black American she was posing as.

Now, she’s making headlines again, and this time, it’s with a very famous celebrity.

In Vanity Fair's November cover story, Rihanna expressed an opinion in support of Dolezal:

“I think she was a bit of a hero, because she kind of flipped on society a little bit,” said Rihanna. “Is it such a horrible thing that she pretended to be black? Black is a great thing, and I think she legit changed people’s perspective a bit and woke people up,” she added.

As a result, Rihanna, known for her I-don’t-care attitude, is receiving backlash from people on social media.
