The Bert Show's Bert Weiss appears to be moving quickly to replace his No. 2 man for 14 years Jeff Dauler, who left last month for rival station Star 94, much to Weiss' surprise and chagrin.
A tipster told me that Weiss is considering a Seattle stand-up comic, actor and radio host named Brian Moote. The clues: Moote is moving to Atlanta, according to his wife's Twittter feed, and he joined a guy's panel last month with the Bert Show in what seemed to be an audition. He also follows Q100 on his Twitter.
Weiss wouldn't identify to me Dauler's replacement but said he plans to make an announcement next month.
Here's a sampling of Moote's stand-up comedy:
And this is his demo reel from his brief time on modern hit music station Click 98.9 in Seattle as a morning host. It appears he left that station earlier this year.

The Seattle native's IMDB resume includes MTV's "Money from Strangers,' AXS TV's "Gotham Live" comedy show and a single appearance on a web series "My Super-Overactive Imagination."
His bio noted that he's been in stand-up for about a decade. His own site lists shows in Indianapolis in February.
Since Dauler has always been comedy relief on the Bert Show, it would make sense for Weiss to find another comedy voice. Dauler himself has gone into stand-up comedy the past year.
Dauler will be starting at Star in February, 2016, but the station has not said who he will be paired with or whether he will be heard mornings or afternoons.
Moote's wife, Katie Waissel, finished seventh on the "X Factor" in the U.K. in 2010. The pair married quietly last October, according to CelebsNow, a U.K. gossip site.
Waissel Tweeted that the couple was leaving Los Angeles Tuesday and coming to Atlanta but didn't say why. She is quite popular with 194,000 followers on Twitter, fueled probably by her exposure on "X Factor." (Moote has 13,600 followers in comparison.)
