Atlanta interior designer Shelli Poole clearly burned more obvious bridges than Vanessa Rousso. In the end, she was taken out by a unanimous vote.
Becky Burgess' plan to get rid of Vanessa failed miserably.
Becky's floating status meant she had no loyalty from anybody. And Vanessa convinced everyone that Shelli was a better person to take out. Good for Vanessa.
"Vanessa is a good player," said Shelli to host Julie Chen after being evicted. "When someone says you're safe and not a target, you are probably walking out the door. I think James had a lot to do with it. Vanessa had good game play."
She feels mildly betrayed by Vanessa, but she didn't look all that upset. The prospect she might return probably made her not feel so bad.
Then Julie noted that her showmance with Clay Honeycutt featured a 10-year separation in age. (She's 33. He's 23.)
Julie asked if she regretted making herself a target by jumping so quickly into a showmance.
She said she picked someone quickly on purpose and the fact it became a showmance was fine with her. No regrets, she said.
"Do you love him?" Julie slyly asked.
"Not that quick!" Shelli squealed! Julie noted she asked the same question to Clay but didn't say what he said. (He didn't answer, which is as close to no as it gets!)
Even if she doesn't go back in the house, she said she is rooting for Steven and Johnny, despite the fact they weren't part of the Sixth Sense alliance. "Clay and I were close to them," she said.
Since this is a double eviction hour, the show quickly moved to the Head of Household competition. Super fan Steve Moses, who has been keeping a low profile the first half of the show, is now lifting his game.
He won the Power of Veto last week and then won Head of Household, a memory game involving GIFs of notable moments on the show.
After a commercial break, he placed Meg Maley and Jackie Ibarra in danger of eviction. Curiously, he did not pick Becky. Is he hoping for a backdoor or is he hoping to latch onto what's left of the Sixth Sense?
"Johnny Mac" McGuire took home the Power of Veto. Given his loyalty to the Sixth Sense alliance and Steve, this win did not bode well for Meg or Jackie. He didn't change Steve's choices.
Jackie seemed to play a less social game than Meg and was ultimately cut 6-1.
She laid low when fellow "Amazing Race" contestant Jeff Weldon was there but played more aggressively once he left. "I felt I played a loyal game," she said to Julie.
It appears Meg and James are in big trouble down the road. And can anyone break up Austwins?
