Poor NeNe Leakes.
While the other women appear to be having happy relationships/marriages, NeNe and Gregg are on the verge of separating... again.
NeNe told Cynthia Bailey at Eva Marcille's wedding that right before the event, Gregg told her he wanted to separate.
“Last night, I felt like I was broken,” she said. “He was so mean.”
She feels like she is being painted as the bad person because Gregg is the cancer stricken one and she doesn’t always want to be there with him. Cynthia told her that is not the case.
NeNe wouldn’t have even bothered to come to Eva’s wedding given her personal situation but Eva had asked her to do a toast so she felt obligated to show up solo. Watching Eva do her vows made her think of her own with Gregg and that just fueled her overwhelming sadness.
Plus, there was the cloud of Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss walking into her bedroom closet uninvited during the "Bye Wig" party and NeNe spazzing out on the camera guy because her closet wasn't clean.
Porsha and Kandi worried that Marlo Hampton brought their thoughts about the situation to NeNe in not the best way. So they met NeNe before the reception to clear the air. Both Kandi and Porsha got a little defensive. Kandi thought NeNe shouldn't have been that "aggressive," a word NeNe didn't take kindly. And Porsha didn't like how NeNe treated them either.
But NeNe made it clear: she needs support. Unalloyed support. Her life is in tatters. And what Porsha and Kandi did was wrong. They overstepped boundaries. They ultimately agreed with her on all fronts as NeNe fell apart again. NeNe really has bigger things to worry about.
She almost didn’t do Eva’s toast but forced herself for Eva’s sake. Her speech was brief but honest and she did it in such a way that nobody but the housewives would have known she was in a really bad place.
OTHER NOTES
- Eva’s wedding at Southern Exchange in the old Macy’s in downtown Atlanta appeared to go smoothly. Kandi heard it was $1,000 a person. I don’t think it was that expensive based on what Eva had said in a previous episode, but it looked lavish.
- Cynthia brought her boyfriend Mike Hall and it's clear they are serious. Could another wedding be on the way for her?
- Porsha, now pregnant, and Dennis McKinley appeared very happy as well. The upcoming baby and nuptials almost guarantees Porsha a ticket for season 12 of RHOA.
- Shamari DeVoe is a lightweight. She got super drunk again. Kandi worried about her but at least this time, she didn't yak on anybody.
