The oxygen for a show like "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" is upset women. How do they become upset? This episode provides some basic examples:
1) When your boyfriend tells a lady friend about your miscarriage. Why? Dudes are supposed to keep sensitive info about their girlfriends on a tight lid that does not include random "female friends." Last week, when Scrappy's girlfriend Bambi finds out Scrappy's "friend' Erica P knew about her miscarriage, she went ballistic on Erica. This week, Momma Dee tries to mediate the situation by bringing the two women together to resolve issues. But Bambi is having none of it. She doesn't feel she has any reason to be in the same room as Erica P. She only shows up out of respect for Momma Dee. Erica P quickly loses her cool and attacks Bambi as revenge. Security kicks Erica out of the restaurant. Then Bambi gets into an argument with Momma Dee, blaming her for the mess. Then Bambi stalks out, leaving a big mess. "Nobody is going to run this palace but me!" Momma Dee bellows to no one in particular.
2) When a female "throws shade" at another female she barely knows. In this case, Joseline told Tammy Rivera during their first meeting how she is now married and that she could give advice to Tammy on how she could get hitched to Waka Flocka quicker and switch out her tattoo with a ring. Tammy later talked to her lady friends and was convinced Joseline was being condescending and insulting. Joseline, of course, finds no fault in anything she does so she doesn't feel she did anything wrong. Her discussion with Tammy doesn't go well because Joseline refuses to show any vulnerability - especially to another woman. She thinks that other women in general don't like her because "they can't take my personality."
3) When someone talks about your business to another female you don't care about. Tammy annoys Joseline because Tammy told her friend Rasheeda about Joseline's photo shoot and Mimi overheard. Joseline is still weary about Mimi and doesn't want Mimi knowing what she's doing. She deems Tammy as immediately untrustworthy and vice versa. They are clearly not going to be friends. Basically, Joseline can't really be friends with women given her holier-than-thou defensive, insecure attitude that permeates her being.
Other story lines:
- Are Joseline and Stevie J really married? It's sounding fishier and fishier by the minute. Benzino brings Stevie J together with his accusers Mimi and Dawn, who want Stevie J exposed as a fraud. Stevie J has trouble remembering the marriage date and refuses to show paperwork proving the marriage. Why? Probably because he doesn't have it. But he doesn't care. He can make up a story and run with it. The question: why would Joseline go along with that? Mimi eventually says she is just tired of the whole affair. Hip Hop Weekly won't retract "the news." Benzino sticks with his buddy Stevie, now a partner in the publication. Mimi does hire Dawn to be her brand consultant. Dawn tries to downplay how damaging the sex tape would be for her image while Mimi sticks with the story the tape was "leaked."
- Kirk and Rasheeda still separated. Rasheeda manages to convince her mom and Kirk to have family pictures taken for Sister 2 Sister magazine. But the two of them have not resolved their issue. Rasheeda, feeling tense, may go on a trip with Kalenna to Mardis Gras.
- Can you hear me now? Why is Waka Flocka the only person the producers are captioning? Is he that hard to understand?

RATINGS
The fifth episode, which aired on Memorial Day, fell to 3 million, the worst Monday night to date this season. But it was a holiday night so that's not surprising.
