Last week was set up, this week is when some of the story lines come to roost.
Stevie J is no Olivia Pope: He thought he could "fix" the Nikko Smith problem and the book deal situation by wagging his tongue, threatening him and then attacking him. (Security guards quickly intervened, of course). It didn't work. Nikko threatened to spread more dirt about Mimi if she fights him for the book $$$.
What is he on? Stevie J is high on life. Or something. Because he fails a drug test and is forced to go to 30 days of rehab. He breaks the news to Joseline, Mimi and most touchingly, his daughter Eva.
Marriage plans? Joseline returns from her one-episode "suspension" and she and Stevie J are on good terms. She says she has anger management issues but promises she will not get physical when people go after her in the future. Riiiiight. He promises her a big wedding. (By the way, are they really married? Still not clear.). But Stevie J requests Joseline needs to work on the wedding with Mimi for Eva's sake or something silly like that. Mimi will "think about it." This is all pure silliness. Why does Joseline need Mimi's help?
Who's that girl?: Rasheeda meets Kirk's new artist Ashley Nicole for the first time on the red carpet of an event. Ashley tries to kiss up to Karlie but only makes her feel old. Ashley also drops two bits of info that she didn't know: that Kirk has a "Buckhead office" and she had a five-album deal. (Rasheeda thought it was one.)
Sherlock Karlie: Rasheeda asks Karlie to help her find info about this "Buckhead office." After some amusing fishing, they dig out a "residential lease." She shows up at his pad and yells at him over his secrets. He is oddly unrepentant.
Getting around: Yung Joc is now dating Khadisha (Miss Piggy, as many have called her). But he also has ladies on the side, including one the baby's mamas. He apparently has eight kids with four different ladies. No stereotyping, eh? (And no condoms, either!)
Forgiveness: We learn that Mama Dee got angry at Earnest and led him to jail for a night or two for a minor offense. But she had no idea he had drugs on him and landed him in prison for seven years. Oops. But amazingly, he forgives her for it.
