Eboni Deon has joined Channel 2 Action News as a new weekend meteorologist.

The Indianapolis native last worked at Orlando’s WFTV-TV. Before that, she worked at the Weather Channel in Atlanta, CNN International and Al Jazeera America.

Deon graduated from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi a bachelors degree in meteorology and a masters of geosciences with a focus on broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.

She is married with three children.

Karen Minton is retiring from WSB-TV in February after 33 years.
