A week after Dunwoody native Jace Agolli surfed his way out of "Big Brother 17," Villa Rica's Audrey Middleton has turned herself into a major target week two by playing her strategic game so poorly.
She has been sloppy forging her alliance, spreading false gossip and being outed for it. And when she was called out on her lies, she refused to acknowledge it. She made a succession of bad moves to turn everyone off. Nobody in the house has a reason to trust her at this point.
"Playing with Audrey is like playing with fire," said Jeff Weldon, the former "Amazing Race' dude.
"The biggest target seems to be Audrey,' said professional poker player Vanessa Rousso early on in Sunday's episode, who Audrey said could not be trusted during a 4 a.m. pow wow with an alliance she was trying to form. She fibbed that she heard Vanessa was masterminding a female alliance from Da'Vonne Rogers, who is also a target to go home.
[UPDATE 7/9/15: Audrey escaped danger this week courtesy of fellow Georgia resident Shelli, who had the power to pick her but instead chose Meg to better ensure Da'Vonne's departure. Indeed, Da'Vonne ended up going home second despite support from Audrey and her friend Jason. But how much longer can Audrey last and is Shelli really an ally, given that Clay is not a fan?]
Audrey denied saying this to Vanessa and Da'Vonne, who said she didn't say it either. "We don't have to pretend to be friends," Audrey said to Da'Vonne, who called an all-house meeting.
"She's done her dirt. It's time to let everything hit the fan," Da'Vonne said.
"I hate it when your game play is exploited and your back is against the wall," said a defiant Audrey to the cameras. At the same time, she knew she placed herself in a vulnerable position and "it could blow up in my face."
Indeed, it did. Big time.
"The only person Audrey has been loyal to is herself," said Jason Roy, the supermarket cashier.
"All the mistrust in this house has been planted by you," he told Audrey during the group meeting.
"My strategy now is to lie down and play dead," Audrey said later, after scorching the earth.
"I have no one," she told Clay Honeycutt, trying to be repentant. Will it work? I doubt it.
Fellow Atlantan Shelli Poole took home a Head of Household challenge in the second week. Her burgeoning possible romantic relationship with Clay may cause danger signals in some people's heads but she is clearly no longer loyal to Audrey. (Why should she be?)
She and Becky Burgess, the other Head of Household, plan to "backdoor" Audrey as Jace was last week, though I'm certain Audrey knows she's in trouble. At the same time, Shelli is no fan of Da'Vonne. That episode one alliance of Shelli, Da'Vonne and Audrey? Kaput for sure.
But deep down, Shelli would prefer to get rid of Da'Vonne, who had peeved Clay. If she can convince others to do so, she might get her wish.
Shelli nominatd John and Da'Vonne for Battle of the Block to go up against Becky's Steve and Jason picks. In the competition, John and Da'Vonne lost and are now vulnerable to going home. But John is a pawn. We'll find out who wins veto on Wednesday and who goes home second on Thursday.
Good news for Audrey is solo Head of Household Shelli has her eyes on Da'Vonne more than Audrey.
Status of the two remaining Atlantans:
Shelli: Pretty safe right now
Audrey: Sinking fast but not 100% hopeless
