The next debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump takes place this coming Sunday at Washington University in St. Louis.
It will be a town hall-style forum where the two candidates take questions from the audience under the supervision of moderators Martha Raddatz of ABC and Anderson Cooper of CNN.
But there's a new wrinkle this year: You, too, could have your question asked. The Open Debate Coalition, a private bipartisan group, created a website where anyone can submit a proposed question. Even better, anyone who registers with an email address and ZIP code can vote for the best questions.
ABC and CNN have agreed to "consider" using questions that are among the top 30 vote-getters.
As of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, "Richard M." from California is leading the way with this question: "Would you support requiring criminal background checks for all gun sales?"
It has 42,039 votes.
Poor Joshua R. from Massachusetts is pulling up the rear. He's received only one vote for his question: "Where do you stand on free soda in the break room?"
