SIMI VALLEY, Calif. -- Tonight's main stage Republican presidential debate begins at 8 p.m. Eastern. Word here is that it will go all the way until 11 p.m., a three-hour, 11-candidate marathon.
The Fox News debate in Cleveland only lasted two hours, but a record surge of 24 million viewers showed just how much interest there is in this race. CNN is reportedly charging $200,000 for a 30-second ad -- 40 times its normal rate. Now it will get an extra hour's worth.
The man at center stage, Donald Trump, griped about the extra long session on Twitter.
