Another Trump is headed to Georgia to play defense for dad. This time it's his namesake.
Donald Trump Jr. is set to headline a round-table event on Friday morning in Atlanta featuring several of the GOP nominee’s most prominent black supporters. He also plans to make a pilgrimage to Rock Springs Church in Milner at noon for a "God and Country" event.
Trump’s Georgia campaign hasn’t yet confirmed, but we’ll pass along more details as they arrive.
This would be the eldest son's second visit to Georgia in weeks, on the heels of forays by two Trump sisters – Ivanka and Tiffany – on Wednesday.
With polls showing a tightening race here, it’s the latest sign the New York businessman is taking no chances with a must-win state. If he loses Georgia’s 16 electoral votes, he has virtually no path in an already dwindling chance for a White House victory.

Ouch. New York magazine has a Q&A with state House Democratic Leader Stacey Abrams, on the topic of Georgia demographics – and Donald Trump. Read it here. The highlight is this passage:
NYM: Women.
Abrams: Yes.
NYM: He cares for them in a very particular way.
Abrams: I don't think "care" is the right word. There's another four-letter word you can use.

State Rep. Scott Holcomb, D-Atlanta, has sent constituents a lengthy response to the mail piece above, sent out by his Republican opponent, Lane Flynn. It includes this:
The mailer, which states that Mr. Millar has chosen to support my opponent because I have not made reform in DeKalb a priority and have not worked on changing the form of government, is false. Last session, I authored legislation that would provide for a referendum to eliminate the CEO model of government and replace it with an elected commission chair and professional county manager.
I worked on the legislation for months, held town halls and public forums around the county, and solicited and received feedback concerning the proposal. Mr. Millar filed a Senate version that was based on my bill so he clearly knows that I made this work a priority.

This could blow up: Democrats accused the Republican National Committee of violating a legal agreement that bars the group from "voter intimidation" tactics - and asked a federal judge on Wednesday to block the group from coordinating with Donald Trump's campaign on plans to monitor the polls. From Politico:
The DNC argues the court should prohibit the RNC from funding any Trump or state organization "ballot security" or "ballot integrity" measures, and order the committee to seek reimbursement for any funds that have gone toward them. The DNC also wants the RNC to distribute the consent decree to all its field offices and report any RNC worker who engages in the practices, and for the court to impose unspecified "coercive" sanctions against the RNC until it is in "full compliance.'
