Atlanta's new MLS team already has a major fan in music producer Mike Will Made-It .

The hotshot who has worked with everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Rihanna to Miley Cyrus to Katy Perry (he’s produced a track on her upcoming “Witness” album), is demonstrating his loyalty with a Friday night performance at Center Stage.

As part of Major League Soccer’s Summer Beat campaign, the Atlanta United will host the show, which also features DJ Swift from Outkast and a special guest.

Summer Beat wants to showcase the connection between music and soccer and is holding similar events this weekend in Seattle and San Jose, Calif.

Tickets to the free 7:30 p.m. Center Stage concert were first made available to Atlanta United season ticket holders and sold out in less than 90 minutes.

Mike Will is a Marietta native and grew up a few miles from the team’s new training ground. He recently visited the facility and told Atlanta United why he’s so excited about having a team to represent Atlanta.

“We are seeing so much different success come out of this city for so many different generations, from Outkast all the way to now,” he said. “Atlanta's just creative. When there's that creative innovative artist or producer or whoever it is, people cling to that, people love that.”

He added, “Atlanta is the city of underdogs. Except we win. We're the underdog champs.”

A spokesperson for the team said it’s likely there will be similar music events tied into MLS in the future.
