After getting what sounded almost like an endorsement from the head of Liberty University earlier this week, Donald Trump used those remarks from Jerry Falwell Jr. in a new radio ad to bolster his credentials among religious voters, with the Iowa Caucus just ten days away.
"I see a lot of parallels between my father and Donald Trump," Falwell says, in audio taken directly from his introduction of Trump on Monday of this week.
"He speaks the truth publicly, even if it is uncomfortable for people to hear," Falwell says.

The ad was released at a time when new polls show Trump with some momentum in Iowa, ahead in just about every demographic group in the Hawkeye State.
Among evangelicals though, Ted Cruz has seemed to enjoy the big advantage - this ad seems to challenge that.
Along with this radio ad, Trump today unveiled a new TV ad that goes after Cruz on immigration issues.
