Hours after the arrest by police in New Jersey of a naturalized U.S. citizen being sought in a bomb attack in New York, Donald Trump pushed back on criticism from Hillary Clinton about how to deal with terror threats, once more making the argument that Clinton and Democrats won't do enough to slow the spread of the threat from Islamic terrorism in America.
"Today, Hillary Clinton showed again that she will say anything - and blame anyone - to shift attention away from the weakness she showed as Secretary of State," Trump said in a statement, as he used an afternoon rally in Florida to drive his point home.
"Her attacks on me are all meant to deflect from her record," Trump said, once more laying the blame for the rise of the Islamic State terror group on Clinton's time at the State Department.
"She very much caused the problem," Trump said. "And now she wants to be President? I don't think so."
Rattling off a list of terrorist attacks, both here in the United States and overseas, Trump delighted his audience in arguing that Clinton isn't tough on Islamic terrorists.
"Hillary Clinton talks tougher about my supporters than she does about Islamic terrorists," Trump said, bringing up Clinton's line about the "deplorables" who back the GOP nominee.
"Has she ever talked that way about radical Islam?" Trump asked, as he answered with an extended, "No," as the crowd repeatedly booed mentions of Clinton.

Trump used his appearance near Fort Myers, Florida to press the case for a GOP victory in the Sunshine State, one of the most important battlegrounds for November - with the elections just 50 days away.
"When Hillary comes in, she has very small crowds, that I can tell you," Trump said, as he predicted victory in November.
"We're going to win!"
