Despite a last place finish over the weekend in the South Carolina Primary, Republican candidate Ben Carson made clear on Monday that he is not getting out of the GOP race for President, and will be at the next debate, scheduled for Thursday night in Houston, Texas.
"it's important to remember that only 3 states have now voted," Carson said in a fundraising email to supporters.
"There's a long way to go," he added.
Unlike in New Hampshire, where Carson almost seemed to take a week off from regular campaign events, the GOP candidate is back on the trail in Nevada, still stumping for votes.
Carson's latest campaign schedule confirmed that he will be going to the next GOP debate as well.
"Following the Nevada caucus results, Dr. Carson will be traveling to Texas on Wednesday morning in order to prepare for the GOP Debate hosted by CNN and Telemundo," his campaign told reporters.
That debate on Thursday night will only have five people on stage - the smallest debate yet for Republicans in the 2016 race.
