Michele Bachmann has scheduled a news conference for 11am ET in Des Moines, at which many expect she may indicate that her bid for the White House is over.

The Bachmann campaign was confirming to reporters that she would not be going to South Carolina for planned campaign events; Bachmann had indicated she would skip New Hampshire and head to the Palmetto State right after Iowa.

But like Rick Perry, the results from Iowa have Bachmann re-evaluating her campaign for the White House.

Bachmann gave no indication last night that she was exiting the campaign, as she told supporters "there are many more chapters to be written" in the GOP race.

But the Minnesota Republican had the look in recent days of someone who just had no momentum going forward in this GOP race.

We'll see what her decision is later this morning.
