Arabia Mountain High School graduating senior Arantza Pena Popo is Georgia's winner in the annual Doodle 4 Google competition,  a contest open to K-12 students to redesign the Google logo inspired by the theme "When I grow up, I hope…"

Her doodle, "Once You Get It, Give It Back," is one of 53 state and territory winners and now advances now to the final stages of the competition.

Arantza was one of the two 2019 valedictorians at Arabia Mountain High School. The Lithonia teen is bound for the University of Southern California to study graphic design, according to the DeKalb County School District.

Born in Colombia, Arantza camed to the United States as a young child, which is when she began drawing.

Arantza's artwork, which often documents the immigrant experience and struggle, has won a lot of acclaim. Last year, she was the grand prize winner in the Congressional Arts Competition.

After winning first place in October in an art contest titled "Portraying the Undocumented Experience," Arantza explained,  "I feel we have to be the vessel for other voices that can't be heard. "

This is the moment from the gathering at Arabia Mountain High School when Arantza Pena Popa learned she had been chosen as the doodle winner for Georgia.
