1. High school baseball player jailed on murder charge. Terrance Elisha Thornton, 17, of Stone Mountain, was arrested Sunday, one day after 19-year-old Jacquorrius Madison was shot and killed during a fight in a subdivision near Loganville, police Cpl. Michele Pihera said Monday. Police believe the incident could be drug-related. [Read more]

3. Woodstock KFC cook found tied up, beaten to death in DeKalb hotel. DeKalb County police and family are trying to understand why someone would want to hurt Donnell Jones so badly. The 56-year-old Woodstock resident and longtime cook, or as his sister put it "executive chef," at KFC was brutalized.When police searched the room, there was a bloody shoe print on a wall and a size-13 pair of athletic shoes. 4. Kordell Stewart wins $3 million defamation suit against man claiming they had slept together. A DeKalb County judge awarded Porsha Williams' former husband Kordell Stewart $3 million in a defamation case where a viral video star claimed to have a gay relationship with him. Stewart has fought off gay rumors for years, even from "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and "Dish Nation" star Williams herself. [Read more]
