County officials celebrate Wade Walker Park improvements

DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs and District 4 Commissioner Steve Bradshaw will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate new improvements at Wade Walker Park 10 a.m. July 29 in the rear of the park near the lake at 5585 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain.

A total of $1 million was allocated from the DeKalb County 2006 Park Bond funds to enhance the park play areas including replacing one playground, resurfacing all playgrounds and constructing a netball court. The public is invited to join park staff and county officials at the ceremony. Attendees will also learn more about the upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
