In 2013, Jacoby Development pitched its dream of building a sprawling movie production campus in Norcross.

The 114-acre project off I-85 near Jimmy Carter Boulevard — on property owned by OFS, a fiber optics company — would feature the largest production facility outside of California, Jim Jacoby proclaimed. It would have housing and retail and a hotel too, putting Gwinnett County right in the middle of Georgia’s burgeoning movie industry.

Now, thanks to newly revealed litigation between OFS and Jacoby, all of that appears to be in grave danger of failing to become a reality.
