Georgia parents of D.C. plane crash victim demand aviation safety reform in Washington

Editor's note: Since this video was published, the U.S. government has admitted it was at fault in the midair collision near Reagan National Airport, citing failures that led to the crash that killed 67 people. Six months after the deadly collision between a D.C. passenger plane and a U.S. Army helicopter, the parents of one of the pilots, Tim and Sherry Lilley of Savannah, are pushing for urgent aviation safety reforms. AJC reporter Emma Hurt follows their journey to Washington, D.C., where they attend National Transportation Safety Board hearings, meet with lawmakers, and press the Federal Aviation Administration for accountability to prevent future tragedies.Credits: AJC | NBC News | NTSB | Getty Images
