Hawks assistant general manager Kyle Korver has stepped away from the organization.

The Hawks will have a tough start to the 2026-27 NBA season and a few arduous road trips, including a brutal March trip to the West Coast.

The NBA and Hawks' 2026-27 schedule was released Thursday, and the Hawks will open the season on Oct. 21 at the Orlando Magic.

The Hawks will play against LeBron James and the 76ers at home in the NBA's MLK Day game on January 18, 2027.

The Hawks will open NBA Cup play when former All-Star guard Trae Young and No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa come to Atlanta with the Wizards on November 6.

The Atlanta Dream (20-12) are tied for the best record in the Eastern Conference and are fourth overall, with just a half-game separating fourth and seventh place.

The Atlanta Dream down the Phoenix Mercury, 96-82.

The Dream’s five-game win streak ended Monday after a 109-87 beatdown from the Aces.

Dominique Wilkins, Dyson Daniels and Jalen Johnson are among the Hawks who have helped at the event, which has packed more than 5.1 million meals for Atlantans in need.

The Atlanta Hawks improved their roster this offseason, but LeBron James joining the 76ers adds another contender in the Eastern Conference.
