Charles Minshew is the senior editor of data journalism for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, helping journalists tell stories with data. Charles is the former director of data services for Investigative Reporters & Editors, the world's largest organization for data and investigative journalists. He has trained thousands of journalists in the latest techniques in investigative and data journalism. Charles previously worked at the Orlando Sentinel as a graphic artist with a focus on data. In 2012, Charles was on the staff of The Denver Post that won a Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News for coverage of a shooting at a theater in Aurora, Colorado. Charles grew up in Rochelle, in Wilcox County, and is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and the Missouri School of Journalism.
