Alan Judd is an investigative reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, he worked at newspapers in Kentucky and Florida before joining the AJC in 1999. He has written about Georgia’s juvenile justice and child welfare systems, patient deaths in state psychiatric hospitals, a cheating scandal in the Atlanta Public Schools and other topics. He has twice been a member of AJC reporting teams that were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize: in 2006 for coverage of a fatal shooting in the Fulton County Courthouse and in 2017 for a national project on sexual abuse by physicians.
