Alan Judd is a former investigative reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He has written about persistently dangerous apartment complexes in metro Atlanta, Georgia's response to the coronavirus pandemic, the state's juvenile justice and child welfare systems, patient deaths in state psychiatric hospitals, a cheating scandal in the Atlanta Public Schools and other topics. He has twice been a member of AJC reporting teams that were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize: in 2006 for coverage of a fatal shooting in the Fulton County Courthouse and in 2017 for a national investigation of sexual abuse by physicians.
