Comedian Kevin Hart is donating 5,000 sets of Fabletics scrubs to Temple Health in his native city of Philadelphia, reports Nurse.org. The actor has been promoting the new scrub line on his social media, revealing that Fabletics will also be gifting 25,000 scrubs to health care heroes in celebration of the clothing line launch.
“These are the first of their kind, activewear scrubs for medical professional and everyone in the scrub-wearing community,” Hart posted on Instagram.
“To celebrate the launch, Fabletics is gifting 25,000 healthcare heroes a new set of scrubs – and I made sure to hook up some of my people in Philly!” Hart announced.
The Fabletics Scrubs clothing line was first announced on Feb. 21. The company reported that the medical apparel was developed through extensive research from over 6,500 medical professionals in an attempt to create “performance-grade workwear that is durable, comfortable and made for daylong wear by a highly active community.”
The first to wear the new clothing line were those within the Founders’ Circle, a community of scrubs wearers from various professions that were appointed by Fabletics Inc. The circle provided feedback on the clothing line’s design, fit, fabric names and more.
“Creating Fabletics Scrubs was years in the making,” Adam Goldenberg, co-founder and CEO of Fabletics, said in a press release. “This collection is inspired by the medical community and it symbolizes our gratitude for the important work that these individuals do every day. We conducted comprehensive research and received direct feedback from these professionals, as we are committed to creating a product that can perform at the highest level and meet all their needs.”
The first twelve scrub styles will include tops, bottoms, underscrubs and jackets in eight different colorways for men and women.
“Each piece is made with performance-grade fabric that is breathable, lightweight, and antimicrobial, with tailored silhouettes and functional details,” the press release stated. “Each piece is offered in a range of sizes, from XXS to 4X, and in three inseams. Fabletics also developed in-house embroidery capabilities to customize tops and jackets.”
