Georgia Tech is a 3.5-point favorite over Virginia Tech with most sportsbooks as of Monday.

Georgia Tech, which lost 48-40 to Virginia on Saturday in Charlottesville, Va., is given a 60.6% probability of winning, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index.

It is the fourth time out of eight games this season that the Yellow Jackets have been made a favorite this season by Las Vegas. They are 2-1 in those games thus far, with wins over Duke and Kennesaw State and the lone loss to Northern Illinois. It’s only the third time in coach Geoff Collins’ tenure that his team will be a favorite against an ACC opponent, following Syracuse in 2020 (a loss) and Duke earlier this month.

Georgia Tech is 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the ACC. Virginia Tech is 3-4 and 1-2. The Hokies have lost three games in a row and four out of five, although three of the four losses were by six points or fewer. Virginia Tech lost Saturday at home to Syracuse despite leading by nine points with less than three minutes to play.
