The Hawks have added assistants Greg Foster and Matt Hill to new coach Lloyd Pierce’s coaching staff.

Foster joins the Hawks after four seasons as a Bucks assistant. He was a player development coach with the 76ers in 2013-14. Foster played for 13 seasons in the NBA, including 33 games with the Hawks during the 1992-93 season.

Hill was an assistant coach with the Magic in 2017-18. He’d previously served with the Magic as a video analyst and scouting/player development aide.

Foster and Hill are expected to be the final assistants hired for Pierce’s staff. The others are Melvin Hunt (lead), Marlon Garnett and Chris Jent.

Jent is the only assistant retained from the staff of Pierce’s predecessor, Mike Budenholzer. Budenholzer has been hired as Bucks head coach and last week one of his Hawks assistants, Charles Lee, joined him in Milwaukee.
