Atlanta’s school system celebrated the completion of construction at North Atlanta High School with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday.

Most of the $147 million North Atlanta High opened before this school year began, but a theater and gymnasium were recently finished in time for students to use when they return in January from their winter break.

The ceremony included Superintendent Erroll Davis, Board of Education Chairman Reuben McDaniel, Cooper Carry Principal Jerome M. Cooper, JE Dunn Construction Vice President Paul Fenzl, North Atlanta High School Principal Gene Taylor, sports booster club members and the local school council.
