Gwinnett County school officials have scheduled a job fair to hire more substitute teachers from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The job fair will be held at Central Gwinnett High School, 564 W. Crogan St. in Lawrenceville.

School district officials have spoken frequently this year about the need to have more substitute teachers, raising their pay for those teachers this school year by $2 a day.

Substitute teachers do not need to be certified to teach, Gwinnett officials said.
