Two brothers will spend the rest of their lives in prison for the 2016 shooting death of a new father.
Brothers Isaiah Adams, 27, and Leon Adams IV, 36, were sentenced to life in prison plus 15 years for the murder of Laron Lowe, Fulton County District Attorney spokesman Chris Hopper said Thursday in a statement.
Lowe and his friend had just left 29 Degrees, an East Point sports bar on Washington Road where they worked, when a white Ford Escape pulled alongside their Chevrolet Tahoe on Sullivan Road on Aug. 21, 2016.
Isaiah Adams was driving the Escape, his brother was in the back seat and 23-year-old Malcom Pitts was in the front passenger seat, officials said.
“All of a sudden, the three men opened fire on the Tahoe,” Hopper said.
Lowe, 32, was shot once in the head and died a short time later. He had just welcomed a son six weeks before the deadly shooting.

“After the defendant’s stopped shooting and drove away, Lowe’s friend turned the SUV around and drove back to the bar and called police,” Hopper said. “Surveillance video from the bar showed Isaiah, Leon, and Pitts getting into the same white Ford Escape from the shooting. The motive in this case is still not clear.”
Pitts will face trial at a separate date on charges of murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal damage to property in the first degree and possession of firearm during commission of a felony, according to officials.
