The Atlanta airport could face one of its biggest tests in years as the huge storm could bring heavy amounts of freezing rain to much of Georgia.

Nationwide, 94% of travelers are flying with Real IDs. Georgia’s rate is 93.1%. For travelers without Real ID, there will be an extra cost.

The airport is also implementing new body scanner technology designed to speed up the process.

“We’re prioritizing Atlanta as a critical next step for our lounge network,” after customer feedback, Delta executive Dwight James told the AJC.

‘It’ll be a strong year. Whether it’ll be a record year or not, I don’t know. It has the potential to be,’ Delta CEO Ed Bastian said.
