After a Clayton County murder investigation led authorities to take out warrants against four suspects, two were found in jail on unrelated charges while the other two were captured in an abandoned trailer.

The suspects, two men and two women, are facing charges related to the murder of 39-year-old Lester Booker Jr. and an ensuing cover-up attempt, Sheriff Victor Hill said in a news release.

According to the initial investigation, Booker was killed March 28 when he was shot twice in the chest and twice in the head in the area of Anvilblock Road in Ellenwood. In a video posted to Facebook, Clayton police said Booker was taken to the location and shot over a previous dispute.

Booker’s body was found April 21 after authorities got a tip about a death near Anvilblock Road, the sheriff’s office said. His remains were discovered in a shallow grave and attempts had been made to cut up and burn the body, according to authorities.

Two of the suspects, Scott Tomlin and Sarah Johnson, were found in custody in the Henry County Jail on unrelated charges, Hill said. The two suspects who remained at large, Amber Vorhies and Segaro Benton, were captured in an abandoned trailer Wednesday night.

The two men, Tomlin and Benton, are each charged with murder and concealing a death, Clayton police said. The two women, Johnson and Vorhies, are each charged with concealing a death.

Benton and Johnson both remain in the Clayton jail without bond, online records show. Tomlin and Vorhies are not listed in online records for the Clayton jail and the sheriff’s office has not returned requests for information about their status.

Booker will be laid to rest Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Willie A. Watkins Historic West End Chapel, according to his obituary.
