In metro Atlanta, a local high school student has made it his mission to help clean up the community.

Brandon Smith and Chance Boots Taylor, who attend Woodward Academy, started Teens over Trash to help tidy up areas throughout Atlanta.

“We only have so much time to save the planet before we do irreparable damage to it and I just wanted to do my part, and help out,” Smith told 11Alive.

Amid the pandemic, the teens have continued their environmental efforts.

“This is a really good thing to do, to get outside and be able to social distant with your friends to do something that matters,” White told the TV station.
