The Jekyll Island Club Hotel, located on a Georgia barrier island of unusual natural beauty, is a Victorian treasure.

Throughout the month of February, this romantic hotel celebrates Valentine's Day every day with a special package for two.

The "Valentine's Day" package includes:

  • Traditional accommodations
  • Breakfast buffet in the Grand Dining Room
  • Special Dinner for two in the Grand Dining Room (tip included)
  • Copy of hotel pianist, Chris Smith's CD

The package cost is $265 per couple.

Dinner for two in the Grand Dining Room is a memorable experience. Ionic columns border the central walkway leading to a large, elegant Victorian fireplace. Executive Chef Abigail Hutchinson will prepare a three course meal for a special Valentine's Day Dinner. Choices for entrees include: Pecan Crusted Grouper with Grilled Shrimp, Grilled six-ounce Angus Filet Mignon or Petite Land & Sea Combination. Reservations are required for dinner. Gentlemen are asked to wear jackets or collared shirts in the Grand Dining Room. The special dinner menu is only being offered on Feb. 14 and guests staying on other nights will have a choice of dinner for two in the Grand Dining Room or the Courtyard at Crane restaurants.

Take time for an afternoon walk along the ten miles of white sand beach or to watch the sun rise. Or, step back in time with an amble through the historic area which surrounds the hotel. Live oak trees festooned with Spanish moss border the pathways through lawns and gardens of houses built a century ago. Some prefer to see the historic village by horse drawn carriage. The hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy 63 holes of golf -- or even mini golf, tennis to horseback riding. Or, have the hotel's concierge assist you with a canoe or kayak tour of the marshes and tidal creeks of Jekyll Island.

The Jekyll Island Club Hotel was originally built in 1886 as a hunting retreat for America's wealthy elite including J.P. Morgan, William Rockefeller, Joseph Pulitzer, as well as the Vanderbilts, Goulds and Astors. Restored to its original splendor in 1986, it is now a National Historic Landmark and a member of Historic Hotels of America. The Jekyll Island Club Hotel is Jekyll Island's only four- star resort and presents 157 rooms and suites in five historic settings.

Jekyll Island is located just off the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah and Jacksonville. A six-mile causeway separates Jekyll from the mainland and the city of Brunswick. One of many barrier islands on Georgia's coast, Jekyll is neighbored to the north by St. Simons Island and to the south by Cumberland Island. Discover more at www.jekyllisland.com.

The drive from Atlanta to Jekyll Island is about 300 miles, or five hours.
