Airfare rates to a trio of popular getaway destinations have been slashed by AirTran.

The carrier rarely, if ever, incorrectly files airfares in the major reservation systems, but I suspect that this sale might be an exception. Regardless, capitalize on this fabulous offer right now:

  • $58.80 one-way to Orlando
  • $68.80 one-way to Baltimore (BWI) or Chicago-Midway or O'Hare

Give at least a 10-day advance notice of travel. These rates are valid daily, except Sundays.

Trips must be finished on or before Feb. 14. 2013. Blackout dates are Nov. 15-21, 24-26; Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 26-Jan. 6.

This AirTran sale has a ticket-by date of Oct. 25, but don’t fall for it. Buy tickets immediately.

Delta Air Lines has matched this sale and rules.

Sale airfares are always subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase.

I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel websites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc. Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer does not have a “ticket-by” date or when the offer is deemed “sold out.”
