The Atlanta Braves called up left-handed pitcher Martín Pérez and sent right-hander Didier Fuentes to Triple-A Gwinnett. Pérez could start Tuesday against the Oakland A's.
The right-hander, who made one start last season before having shoulder surgery, didn't allow a run Saturday until serving up a home run in the seventh inning.
Chris Sale was (mostly) sharp, and Walt Weiss recorded his first win as the Braves’ manager in a 6-0 victory over the visiting Royals on Friday at Truist Park.
