Coach Dan Quinn said Tevin Coleman has had no setbacks after coming back to practice Wednesday afternoon.

Quinn said Coleman is “right in the middle” of practice and is looking good, but coaches are watching his progress as he practices.

“I think we wanted to see him run full speed and make the decisions he has to make, the cuts and the catching,” Quinn said. “For him, it was great to see him (at practice Wednesday).”

Quinn said the team was excited to see him on the practice field on Wednesday.

“We knew how hard he was working to get back and so for him to come back, he was really chomping at the bit to get going,” Quinn said. “He’s really feeling good and so we knew he was missing time and when he had his opportunity to come back we knew he was going to max that out.”

Tevin Coleman returned to practice Wednesday after suffering a fractured rib against the Giants. In his absence, Freeman was given his first two career starts, recording six rushing touchdowns, 209 rushing yards and 133 receiving yards in two games.

Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said on Thursday that Coleman is still limited and wearing a black jersey on the field. Shanahan said Coleman is still some pain around his ribs, but the team is hopeful said Coleman will cleared to play Sunday against Washington.
