Falcons safety William Moore, who has a long history of fines with the league office, was fined $23,152 for using the crown of his helmet to deliver a hit to Eagles receiver Jordan Matthews during the Falcons 26-24 win on Monday night.

Moore was not called for a penalty on the play.

Moore was fined twice by the league office in 2013 and has racked up nearly $100,000 in fines, although some of the previous fines were reduced on appeal.

At the NFL owners in Phoenix in 2013, the owners voted to penalize crown of the helmet hits by players who are outside of the tackle box or at least three yards downfield.
