Punter Sam Irwin-Hill, who was signed to the 90-man roster in February, was released on Saturday.
The team tried to sign the Australian native during the 2019 season, but he had visa issues. He was briefly on the practice squad.
With punter Matt Bosher battling groin injuries last season, the Falcons used four punters and tried to sign Irwin-Hill while practicing out in Phoenix before facing the Cardinals.
Bosher was eventually placed on injured reserve with was called a right groin injury Oct. 5.
Bosher became a free agent in March and has not been re-signed.
Irwin-Hill played at Arkansas before signing with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
Ryan Allen, who finished the season as the punter, was re-signed. Kasey Redfern and Matt Wile also punted for the Falcons in 2019.
