An unnamed bettor who had big success in the previous Super Bowl wasn’t as lucky Sunday, losing $3.8 million on three big bets with the Rams.

According to a story on ESPN, the person dubbed 'Bettor X' won $8-10 million by taking the underdog Eagles over the Patriots in Super Bowl 52 in 2018. Bettor X took the Rams, a 2 ½-point underdog against the Patriots, and began placing bets in Las Vegas sportsbooks days before Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta.

New England defeated the Rams 13-3 Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
