Georgia Tech will face Belmont, who defeated Georgia on Wednesday night in Athens, in the second round of the NIT. The game will start at noon Sunday from McCamish Pavilion and will be televised by ESPN.

The winner will advance to the quarterfinal round, with that winner going on to play in the NIT semifinals in New York’s Madison Square Garden on March 28.

The Jackets have won 16 games at home this season, tying a school record.

“I would love to have a home game because I want the students to come back, and, obviously, playing at home is awesome,” coach Josh Pastner said earlier Wednesday.
