1,935 – Miles to Los Angeles, the site of Tech's longest regular-season trip until Dublin. The Yellow Jackets played at USC in 1961 and 1969.

2021 – The next time that Boston College and Tech will meet, barring a shift to a nine-game league schedule. The last time the teams played was 2012, a 37-17 Yellow Jackets win.

112.01 – Boston College quarterback Patrick Towles' passing efficiency rating at Kentucky last season, 11th in the SEC. Towles is a graduate transfer.

7-1 – Coach Paul Johnson's record at Tech in season openers. The one loss was against the only FBS-level opponent that the Jackets have played in their first game in Johnson's tenure, a 20-17 overtime loss to Virginia Tech on Labor Day 2012.

9,000 – approximate number of Tech fans making the trip to Dublin. About 16,500 total were expected from the U.S.

21 – The number of consecutive ACC regular-season games in which Tech has scored 20 or more points, the longest active run in the ACC. Boston College was No. 4 in the country last year in scoring defense at 15.3 points per game and held four ACC teams under 20.
