Georgia Tech picked up another addition to the 2021 signing class, its third in the past two weeks, as Grayson High defensive end Noah Collins announced his decision to switch his commitment from UCF to Tech.

Collins had committed to the Knights on Feb. 4, days after apparently making visits to both Tech and UCF. Collins, a three-star prospect, has reported a slew of offers from power conference schools, including LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, Miami, Notre Dame and USC. By the measurement of 247Sports Composite, Collins is the second highest-rated prospect among Tech’s committed players. He is No. 577 nationally and No. 46 in the state of Georgia, just behind Douglas County High defensive end Joshua Robinson at 544 and 44, respectively.

Collins, listed at 6-foot-3.5 and 215 pounds, added to a spree of commitments received by coach Geoff Collins. Safety Shawn Chappell from Durham, N.C., gave his commitment April 28 and Robinson announced his decision on Wednesday.

Tech’s class now stands at six, half of whom are defensive ends – Collins, Robinson and Grey Carroll of Alcoa, Tenn.

Collins is also the second rising senior from state power Grayson to align with Tech, joining athlete Jamal Haynes, who committed in January. Tech’s roster already includes three former Rams – senior defensive tackle Chris Martin, redshirt freshman defensive back Jeremiah Smith and incoming freshman wide receiver Ryan King.
